Will Scheifley, founder of the Shameless Strangers is obviously the genius of the band. His lyrics and infectious acoustic guitar playing have been the glue that bonds this group of musicians together. His songs radiate the humor in everyday life and prove to strike a chord in the psyche of any listener. The simplicity of his playing combined with his lyrical genius make every song he sings a veritable hit with fans. Will’s likable personality and total musicianship is an inspiration for anyone that is willing to give his music a listen.

Mike Dashnaw (aka Charles Loggins), co-founder of the Strangers is the quiet member of the group. Mike simply loves to play and have a great time playing. Along with the rest of the members, Mike has a lot of faith in the band and it is obvious in his playing. The catchy lead guitar riffs combined with the technicality certainly prove to compliment the music perfectly. Mike is also a co-writer of many of the songs that the band plays. A true original artist with ideas and music to spare, Mike is a true catalyst for any of the endeavors this band chooses to do.

Cody Reid (aka The Surgeon), resident bass player for the Strangers has been playing ever since he can remember. A devotee of Rock and Funk stylings, he is the perfect guy for holding down the rhythm. Bubbles and drummer Bill Bougill have been playing together since high school and their locking together has proved to provide a steady anchor for which the other members of the band can float on at will. Cody’s main concern with the music is simply to make it sound good. His grooves fit perfectly within the music and give a sense of security for the other musicians on stage. Reid is a trained musician with a great degree of talent at his disposal. He is also a freelance bassist with a great deal of recording credentials under his belt.

James “Bill” Bougill is the drummer for the Shameless Strangers. A true musician in every sense of the word, Bougill has been wowing audiences with his incredible sense of groove and over-the-top technique. A player of many styles, Bougill has studied Jazz and Latin rhythms that obviously come out in his playing. Bill has played in many bands in his career as a drummer in all different styles and has come to be a “hired gun” in the Plattsburgh scene. Bill’s dedication to his craft have gotten him far in the small music scene in upstate New York. He teaches percussion and plays Congas, Timbales, and Dumbek (Arabic drum) fluently. Bill’s playing has certainly taken the Strangers’ music to a new level in terms of energy and style. He resides in Plattsburgh and maintains an active teaching schedule.

Dan Gallagher, Keyboardist extrodanairre and musician supreme is the latest addition to the band. His off the wall personality and genius playing are perfect for the Strangers. His stage presence is something that is rarely seen. Oftentimes Dan will do just about anything from wearing a snorkel to playing an ironing board to get the crowd going. Dan has near perfect pitch and the notes he plays on the keyboard are just fine when he plays with the band.

Will

The Shameless Strangers are offensively bold characters of a bizarre and awe-inspiring class.

When the Stones roll on by. When the Dead won't seem to die. When the Fish swim away. There is a Band that will play. So like the Wise Men to the manger, we will go see the Shameless Strangers.
